Lindy in the Park
Join Omaha Jitterbugs every Sunday throughout the summer for Lindy in the Park — a free, joyful celebration of music, movement, and community. Whether you have been swing dancing for years or have never taken a single step, everyone is invited to gather on stage to Shim Sham in the sunshine.
Rooted in the spirit of the Lindy Hop — the energetic, improvisational partner dance born in the Harlem ballrooms of the 1920s and 1930s during the Swing Era — these afternoons celebrate the rich history of jazz dance while creating new memories together today. Known for its joyful rhythms, playful connection, and welcoming atmosphere, Lindy Hop has always been about community, and there is no better place to experience that spirit than dancing outside with us on a summer Sunday.
