“I love Omaha Jitterbugs! At 74 years of age, I still go and dance all night! All different ages and different styles dance together which makes it even more fun. No one judges; we all just have fun and dance.”
“The friendships I have made through dancing have carried me through some of the most difficult times in my life. Knowing there is a community to call on, for myself, for my daughter is something invaluable to me.”
“I started dancing in 1998 and was a little nervous because I was the oldest one there. But everyone was so welcoming that I kept coming back and still am 20 years later!”
“I started swing dancing in order to meet people in a new city. What I didn’t expect was how much I would fall in love with Lindy Hop, or that I would become a part of a community that spans not just the country, but the whole world!”
“Jitterbugs has changed my life in such a positive way! It’s a release–an epic, powerful, and even comical, way to release the worries and stresses of the week. I’ve made it a requirement to my very busy life! And I look forward to it every Friday!”
“Swing dancing is a fun activity that my sister and I bond over. We love learning new things and meeting new people together.”
