On Sunday, June 3rd The Omaha Symphony Musicians Organization is reviving its annual Big Band Benefit Concert and Dance with a 16-piece big band comprised of musicians from the Omaha Symphony joined by many local musicians, including Pam and the Pearls, Susie Thorne, Jimmy Weber, Joey Gulizia, Matt Wallace, Jorge Nila, and members of the Omaha Jazz Orchestra, Omaha Big Band, and the Bluffs Big Band. Dale Munson from KVNO will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. There will be a free swing lesson taught by the Omaha Jitterbugs, and raffles throughout the night – buy a chance to win lessons with your favorite Omaha Jitterbugs instructors, group classes, or even a year-long pass to Jitterbugs Night Out! Location is the Eagles Club, 24th and Douglas streets. The beginning lesson will start at 6:30 pm; the band will play until 10:00. Cost is $10 at the door, $5 for students and seniors.
