I would like to invite all Omaha Jitterbugs members to come to a concertpresented by the Jim Widner Big Band at UNO’s Milo Bail Student CenterBallroom on Wed, Nov. 8 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15 general public and $10students. The Jim Widner Big Band is one of only a handful of professionalbig bands touring the country today. Most of the guys in the band arealumni of the Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, and/or Glenn Miller Bands. It isa SMOKIN’ group! Although it is mainly billed as a concert, the back ofthe ballroom (AKA the Nebraska Room) will be open for dancing (tile floor).
I’ve not heard this band before, but I’m quite sure it will be worth checking out!
