Here’s an e-mail I received from Jerry Berggren from Lincon’s Argentine Tango Club that I thought you might be interested in.

Greetings to each of you.

Some of you may be aware that there is an Argentine Tango Club in Lincoln. We began the organization just about a year ago. We were pleasantly surprised to find a group of tango enthusiasts in Kearney. Earlier this summer they hosted us to a Milonga “under the stars” in the courtyard of the Museum of Nebraska Art. This coming Saturday we have invited the Kearney Group to Lincoln for an early evening milonga. Both the Lincoln and Kearney groups are always looking for others who are interested in Argentine Tango. We would be very please if you would share this information with your students and join us for what we hope will become a regular event.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

You Are Invited!

An Argentine Milonga

Hosted by the Lincoln Tango Club
Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006
6:00-9:30 P.M. at Sur Tango Bar & Cafe
1228 “P” Street
Lincoln, NE

You are invited to join the Lincoln and Kearney Argentine Tango dance communities for an evening of Tango dance and socializing.

Pizza will be ordered and Lincoln dancers will provide side dishes and desserts. Sur Tango’s (cash bar) is available to provide the beverage of your choice.

We hope to reach all pockets of Tango enthusiasts across the region. The milonga is an opportunity for all of us to gather and share our PASSION for the music and dance of Argentina in what will be a fun filed evening!

Please join with Tangueros from Kearney and Lincoln to share in this Tango dance experience and advance the future of Argentine Tango activity and enrichment in Nebraska.
