Jitterbugs’ Night Out: HOMECOMING – JNO 15th Anniversary: featuring the Little Harper Big Band
October 9, 2015 @ 8:00 pm – 12:00 am CDT
Celebrating 15 years of Friday Night Swing Dancing in Omaha. Jitterbugs’ Night Out began in October of 2000 and has been going strong ever since.
Cost is $10. Live Music from the Little Harper Big Band.
This is a Homecoming event. Fifteen years is a long time and we’ve seen a lot of dancers come through our doors. Regulars have come and gone and come back again. This event is for all the Omaha dancers that have every called themselves a jitterbug. Whether you used to come out when we were at the Masonic Lodge on 24th & I, or if you still remember The Stork Club Omaha (cir. 1998-1999). Even if you just came for your first time this year, this event is for all the jitterbugs to come and celebrate an event that has become a truly unique and special part of this great city.
Jitterbugs’ Night Out is every Friday night! Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the evening kicks off at 8:15 with a beginning swing dance lesson (no partner required). Then deejays (or bands) will spin their tasty tunes until midnight.
This event is smoke-free, drug-free, and all ages are welcome. Alcohol is available from the bar downstairs (21+). Dressing sharp is strongly encouraged.
